My Second Image – NGC 7000

NCG 7000 is also known as The North American Nebula or part of it
Fun Facts
- Distance from Earth – 2,590 ± 80 light-years away
- Location – found in the Cygnus (The Swan) Constellation
- What is it – Giant emission nebula
- Discovered by William Herschel on October 24, 1786
The image above is my second attempt at astrophotography and the outcome is okay, but I need to figure out how to remove the blue halos around the stars. It’s compressed to reduce the size of the image on the website.
The above image is the result of 100 bias files, 100 darks, 100 flats and 50 X 60-second exposures taken on 16th July 2022 starting at 0030 and ending at 0123
This image was processed with Siril but I will try the same process in PixInsight and post the results at a later date.
